Beautiful cabins in a fantastic spot next to the Thatchers brewery. We were so well looked after by Paul and his team - he helped us with the setup for a party, put a cot in, and lent us equipment too. The cabins are beautiful with some thoughtful extra touches, and were very well provisioned with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. A brilliant weekend. We had the pleasure of staying at Wild Goose Glamping for my dad's 60th birthday, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The glamping lodge exceeded all our expectations. Upon arrival, the lodge was impeccably clean, and we were welcomed with cans of cider in the fridge, which was such a thoughtful touch. The lodge felt like a cozy home rather than just a place to stay, with its warm and inviting atmosphere. The field it’s located in was spotless, and the view over the orchards was simply breathtaking. It was the perfect setting for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. A special shout-out to Paul, the owner, who was absolutely fantastic. He went out of his way to ensure everything was perfect for my dad’s birthday, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. His attention to detail and hospitality were first-class. If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and welcoming place to escape to, Wild Goose Glamping is the perfect choice. We can’t wait to return! Wonderful break with my family Joe Warbrick2024-06-03Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a cracker of a weekend, we booked all 3 of the lodges for my 25th birthday and was easily the best birthday I’ve had, incredible place looking on to the thatchers orchard, cabins are in great nick, and we got lucky with some stunning weather, the cabins are well away from everything so creates a lovely bubble of all your favourite people, everyone who came are all in agreement that it will need to become a regular thing, couldn’t recommend it more! Big props to Paul who took great care of us and even stocked the fridges upon arrival with thatchers from down the road, will be sure to come back soon! (One recommendation for stayers is to stock up a bunch, as shops and off licences close quite early round there!) Things to do
Wild Goose Glamping is surrounded by places to visit. Bristol is both an historic city and a hub of vibrant culture. The docks are particularly worth a visit, maybe taking a tour of SS Great Britain. The spa City of Bath, with stunning Regency architecture and Roman Baths offers something for everyone. You may wish to experience the mystery and magic of Glastonbury Tor and town. Spectacular Cheddar Gorge, with it’s caves, is a walk or cycle along the strawberry line, or a very short drive or bus journey. The smallest city in England, Wells, is a Somerset gem. There you may walk along the oldest street in England, and see if you can recognise scenery from the many films shot in this very quaint place. Even closer is Weston super Mare for a traditional seaside experience. A pier, summer donkey rides on the beach, wide expanses of sand, putting greens, ice cream stands and fish and chip shops.
