Our Story
As a family we have a strong connection with this part of the world and have lived here for a long time. In fact one of us has lived in this, or the neighbouring village, for more than forty six years (bar a few years of college etc), but you can’t tell by looking!
The safari lodges are positioned in a field near our family home, and in a place that has long held a draw for us all. The sunset looks particularly dramatic from here and the orchards surrounding it are unfailingly beautiful, in blossom, leaf, fruit or bare branch. It has been a consistently pleasant place to pause for a moment in the evening, maybe with a mug or glass of something, or just to check on our small flock of Soay sheep, which still graze here from time to time. They are naturally shy and make for unobtrusive neighbours!
It was our enjoyment of this very pretty spot that inspired ‘Wild Goose Glamping’, so named because geese frequently fly over morning and evening. We wholeheartedly recommend this little treasure of a place.
